Let's talk about your books.

Thirty minutes on Zoom. No slides, no pitch deck, no drive. You tell me what's going on, I tell you straight what it'd take to fix it and what it'd cost.

A virtual bookkeeping consultation taking place over video call

You talk first. What's going on, how far behind, what's been bugging you. No cleanup required before we speak — see below.

I ask about how your business actually runs. How many accounts, how much runs through them, how you get paid. That's what determines the number.

You leave knowing where you stand. What it'd take to get current, what it costs monthly, and whether we're a fit. If we're not, I'll say so on the call.

It's a Zoom call — I'll send the link when you pick a time. Nothing to drive to.

You don't have to clean anything up before we talk.

I'm not going to open your QuickBooks and make a face. Whatever shape it's in, we've seen worse, and we didn't judge that person either.

And here's the practical version: catching up before you call doesn't save you money. Anything already entered still has to be verified, and verifying is slower than starting fresh. The weekend you were going to spend getting presentable buys you nothing.

The mess is the job. That's what you'd be hiring me for.

Before you pick a time — I'd rather say this here than surprise you on the call.

There are two numbers, and you'll get both from me.

The monthly starts at $500, and most clients pay more than that. It follows the work: how many accounts, how much runs through them, how you get paid, what else you need. How far behind you are doesn't change it.

The cleanup is separate — a one-time number to get you current. That one does depend on how far behind you are, and I can't quote it without seeing your file. I won't pretend otherwise.

One thing worth knowing: trying to catch up yourself before you call won't lower the cleanup number. We still have to verify anything that's been entered, and verifying is almost always slower than doing it from scratch.

If that's not the neighborhood you're in, no hard feelings — and now you know without either of us spending half an hour finding out.

Pick a time

I had another book keeper before who was the best, but retired. I was sad and prepared to for a lessor experience, low and behold I was actually missing out before. Chip is super knowledgable and easy to work with. An easy 5 star!

— Camden, Google review

Chip at Ensemble is very knowledgeable and an expert in Quickbooks. He takes the time to make sure I understand the numbers and answers all my questions.

Chip provides consistent and reliable accountability with Ensemble Bookkeeping. I would not trust anyone else!

"I already have a bookkeeper."

Then you may be in better shape than most, and I'd tell you so on the call. But Camden up there thought the same thing — he had someone good, and found out afterward what he'd been missing. It's a thirty-minute conversation. Worst case you find out you're fine.

"My books are too far gone."

They aren't. That's the one thing I can say without seeing them. Every client I have came to me behind — the ones with clean books never call, they keep doing their own.

"What if I'm not ready to decide?"

Then don't. I don't chase people. One good conversation, and the next move is yours.

Thirty minutes on Zoom. Straight answers. No hounding.
